about

Worlds In Collision is a jazzy/funk based boom-bap recording that's unflinchingly anti-estsblishment, anti-police brutality, and politically charged. Most of it was recorded at the home of the late Jason Slater, the founding bassist for 3rd Eye Blind.

This album was never commercially released. Only distributed as a demo. These songs were recorded between 1992-1994. The group consisted of The Bishop aka journalist/author Adisa Banjoko, MC Hi-Lo [RIP} & DJ Robski later known as DJ Rob Flow.

We did many shows around the San Francisco Bay Area at this time and opened for Gang Starr, Onyx, Brand Nubian and many others. The early 90's live Hip Hop scene in The Bay was amazing and we are grateful to have been a part of it. Salute.

"Freedom T.R.O.O.P. 187 captured and represented a spiritually vibrant, unapologetic era in Hip Hop that was also expressed by Ice Cube, Paris, Rakim, Divine Styler, Poor Righteous Teachers, and others. It's the soundtrack to both the fight for justice and the need for self-accountability, and being from The Bay Area means they share roots with some of the bravest and most effective community builders of modern times.

"Potent lyrics, funky beats, and sharp cuts that remind us that Hip Hop can be and always has been more than disposable, fast food music."
